May Classroom News!

THEME: DINOSAURS!

The students observed the similarities and differences between different dinosaurs such as colors, shapes, body shapes, and many more. The students also sang a dinosaur song this week! It goes like this, "What can your dinosaur do?" “I can ROAR like a dinosaur...a dinosaur. A dinosaur. I can ROAR like a dinosaur!” Each student gets a turn to choose what their dinosaur can do! Some of the answers were ROAR, RUN, SLEEP, and STOMP!

THEME: PLANTS & SEEDS!

The "plant managers" (our students) explored different kinds of seeds, discovered many foods that contain seeds and found and tasted foods that are plants. The students planted seeds and watched the progress of the seeds as they grew.

THEME: INSECTS & BUTTERFLIES!

The classrooms spent the week learning and talking about ants, worms, ladybugs, flies, and bees. The students had very special guests that arrived this week and they were TINY caterpillars! Stay tuned for next week to see what happened with the caterpillars!

THEME: END OF THE YEAR FUN!

The students watched the caterpillars grow, formed into cocoons, and then hatched into butterflies! On the last day of school, the students released the butterflies and watched them fly away on MOSD's front lawn after Graduation!

The students ended this week with fun activities such as being the teacher for the day, revisited ABC's, shapes, etc. The oldest class were working hard at their graduation rehearsal all week!

We hope your family have a wonderful summer & we look forward seeing your children back at school in July!
