Service Master Chooses MOSD for Employee Volunteer Opportunity #WeServe2017

On Friday, August 18th, more than 3000 ServiceMaster employees from all over the country participated in their 4th annual community service day, #WeServe2017.  Right here in Memphis, more than 750 employees volunteered all across our city.  MOSD was blessed to have our own group of volunteers on campus for the day!

ServiceMaster employees were greeted by MOSD Executive Director, Teresa Schwartz, then given a full tour of the school with a "meet & greet" with the students. They participated in Creative Movement, lead by Jamie Goldring, and then went straight to work inside and outside our building.

ServiceMaster employees spent the day troubleshooting our new computers as well as beautifying our campus.  They trimmed trees and shrubs, pressure washed our building and trimmed and weeded our flower beds.

ServiceMaster also met critical technology needs for our school including donating new computers, printers and iPads. Another need they fulfilled was purchasing $10,000 of audiological equipment so that we can continue to provide the best audiological care for our students.

To say, "We were blessed" by ServiceMaster is an understatement! We are overwhelmed by their outpouring of generosity and service to our school, our campus and our children.

ServiceMaster CEO, Nik Varty, says it best:  "Services is not just in the name of our company, it's in the hearts and minds of our people." We couldn't agree more!
