$225,000+ raised. One unforgettable night. Countless futures changed.
On behalf of everyone at Memphis Oral School for the Deaf, thank you.
SpeakEasy 2026 was a night filled with celebration, community, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to children with hearing loss. Thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, attendees, and community partners, we are thrilled to announce that SpeakEasy 2026 raised more than $225,000 to support the life-changing work happening at MOSD every day.
From the moment guests arrived, the evening was a true reflection of the caring community that surrounds our school. Friends gathered, stories were shared, auction paddles were raised, and together we celebrated the impact that early intervention, listening, spoken language development, and family support can have on a child's future.
An Investment in the Future
The success of SpeakEasy 2026 extends far beyond a single evening.
Funds raised through this year's event will directly support programs and services that help children with hearing loss develop listening, language, and literacy skills while empowering families throughout their journey.
We are especially excited to share that support from this event will help bring two major additions to MOSD:
- New Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) equipment, , made possible through the generosity of David and Beth Pickler and Trigon Sports, Jonathan and Desiree Bawcum
- New additional sound booth expanding our ability to provide critical hearing assessments and serve even more families in our community
These investments will strengthen MOSD's ability to provide high-quality services and ensure that children receive the support they need as early as possible.
An Evening to Remember
SpeakEasy 2026 would not have been possible without the extraordinary generosity of so many individuals and organizations.
We are deeply grateful to our presenting sponsor, Pickler Companies, along with every sponsor, donor, volunteer, auction contributor, and attendee who made the evening such a success.
Guests enjoyed exceptional food from Heart & Soul Catering, live music from the Nick Black Band, exciting silent and live auctions, and inspiring moments that highlighted the life-changing impact of MOSD's mission.
One of the evening's most memorable moments came as families, supporters, alumni, and community partners gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of children who are proving every day that hearing loss does not limit potential.
We were also honored to hear powerful remarks from MOSD supporters and families whose stories serve as a reminder of why this work matters and why community support is so essential.
Because of You
Every dollar raised represents an investment in a child. It represents access to hearing technology, speech and language services, audiology support, educational opportunities, and the confidence that comes from being understood.
Because of your generosity, more children will have access to the tools and support they need to develop language, build relationships, succeed in school, and reach their fullest potential.
To everyone who purchased a ticket, sponsored the event, donated an auction item, volunteered, raised a paddle, or supported MOSD in any way—thank you.
Your belief in our mission makes all the difference.
Looking Ahead
While SpeakEasy 2026 has come to a close, the impact is just beginning.
We look forward to sharing updates on our new sound booth, expanded audiology capabilities, and the many ways your support continues to change lives throughout the coming year.
Thank you for helping make SpeakEasy 2026 our most successful event yet.
Together, we are creating brighter futures for children with hearing loss and their families.
Different Hearing. Same Potential.
