Overview
Preschool - MOSD preschool empowers children with hearing loss or are hard of hearing who rely on assistive listening devices to have equal access to communication. The Preschool is an eleven (11) month program for children ages 2 through 6 years, that provides ongoing classes and therapies to help the children maintain and develop the skills needed to achieve their full potential. We are a LSL (Listening and Spoken Language program)
Development Programs - Our Listening and Spoken Language classes meet two days a week for 2.5 hours each day, providing children with a supportive and engaging environment to build their listening, speech, and language skills. Classes are designed to meet each child where they are and encourage growth through meaningful communication and learning experiences. Audiological support and guidance are available as needed to help families navigate their child’s hearing needs and support continued progress in listening and spoken language.
Clinic - Audiology - Our team of audiologists provide services for all MOSD students, as well as outside clients of any age. Cochlear implants, BAHAs, and BTE hearing aids are all serviced by our staff.
Clinic - Speach Therapy - Our dedicated team of SLPs collaborate with MOSD teachers and audiologists to develop individualized speech and language goals for each child. Therapists also incorporate classroom thematic units into therapy activities. Speech and language evaluations are conducted one to two times per year to document progress and facilitate goal development.
