MOSD Hosts December PEEPS Alumni Panel

The December PEEPS meeting is always a highlight for our families. Right before Santa comes, our parents gather together to listen to an alumni panel discuss life beyond the walls of MOSD. They update everyone in attendance on the progress of their child who had once attended school here. They discuss the struggles they face in their mainstream schools and encourage the current parents to work hard during these early years so that that child can graduate from MOSD and flourish in "Big School".

This year's panel consisted of Curtis and Darlene Johnson and their daughter, Jordan, who graduated last year; Kirk Taylor and his daughter, Cassandra, who graduated in 2011; and Abbey Ragan, a freshman at Shackouls Honors College at Mississippi State University and a 2004 MOSD graduate.
