March 2024 - Themes and Photos
As the weather continues to warm up and Spring officially kicks into gear, we want to share with you all the amazing learning and activities we got up to over the month of March! Check out our monthly recap and see our gallery below for all the fun!
March 4-8, Spring Time
During the first school week of March, our students learned all about what happens when winter changes to spring! Ms. Cyndi’s class went on a scavenger hunt outside to look for signs of the seasons changing, like buzzing bees or green grass, and art projects focusing on flowers!
March 11-15, Spring Break
March 18-22, Ponds
This week focused on ponds and all the plant and animal life contained therein. Students practiced identifying different types of pond animals, like frogs, ducks, and dragonflies. Mrs. Sue’s class helped build an arts and crafts pond habitat, and learned what sounds pond animals make.
March 25-29, Easter
Easter fun lasted all week at MOSD! Students decorated their very own Easter hats, hunted for eggs on the playground, and even walked the halls in an Easter Parade! Classroom activities included egg painting and reading Easter books like Pete the Cat: The Big Easter Adventure.
