November Classroom News!

 

THEME: MEALS & FOOD

The students learned about the different food groups, where our foods come from, how some of our foods grow (on trees, in a garden, on a vine, in bunches), and various dishes we made with each food. Our little chefs had an opportunity to make fruit salad, butter, and mini pizzas and enjoyed tasting a variety of foods. This lead into our Annual Trip to Whole Foods, our next door neighbor, to explore food that we learned this week!


THEME: THANKSGIVING

This week, the students learned about TURKEYS! We got to explore different color, feathers, style and shapes of turkeys. We talked about traditional Thanksgiving foods. On Thursday, we helped prepare different type of foods for our Annual Thanksgiving Feast with our friends.
