Dear Parents,

November has been a busy and exciting month at MOSD! In the classroom and in our therapy sessions, we have been talking about all things Thanksgiving with a big focus on something we all love: food! This time of year is packed with fun and meaningful vocabulary.  We’ve been learning about everything from pumpkin pie to green bean casserole, the different meals we eat each day, family names, and even table manners.  What fun we have had.

The holidays can be a little overwhelming for families. We want to encourage you to take advantage of these holiday moments to enhance your child’s language skills.  Here is a great handout for some fun, Thanksgiving-themed activities to encourage listening and talking with your child.
