14th Annual SpeakEasy Gala: Hidden in Plain Sight on April 5, 2025.
 

About MOSD:

• For 65 years, MOSD has been one of the few schools worldwide providing oral deaf education to children ages 0–5 who are deaf or hard of hearing. Over time, our expertise has also grown to include supporting hearing children with speech delays.
• Many of our students use hearing aids, BAHAs, or cochlear implants to learn how to listen and speak with the support of audiologists, speech therapists, and teachers.
• MOSD also supports hearing children with speech and language delays.
  Each child costs approximately $50,000 per year to educate, but we never turn away a child due to financial need.
• We currently have waiting lists for nearly every program we offer, underscoring the growing need for our services.
• Our goal is to raise awareness of the often-overlooked challenges associated with hearing loss and provide our students with the tools they need to overcome them.
• We also aim to support families of hearing children who may experience speech delays or require additional language assistance.
