August Classroom News!

THEME: BACK TO SCHOOL

We were all so excited to be back at school! This past week, the students learned all about school activities, transportation, and supplies. The students did fun activities throughout the week such as taking a tour throughout the school to locate places that answer clues such as: “Where do we go to get a book?” (library), Where do we go when we play outside?” (playground), Where can we bake cookies?” (kitchen), etc. Also, the students had opportunities to talk about different items that took place in each location.

THEME: ALL ABOUT ME

Our theme for this week was “All About Me!”, and we took the time to get to know each other a little better. The students focused on learning more about their names, as well as other things that made each of them unique, like our favorite colors, and favorite foods! The students also had fun playing a different version of musical chairs to learn their names! 

THEME: MY BODY

This week was a continuation of "All About Me" thematic unit of the week. The teachers and students continued to talk about traits that made them special. They focused on their body parts and their hearing devices. The students enjoyed a lot of fun activities such as painting their arms, legs, and feet!
